How I re-work old pieces this summer

May 24, 2018

If there is one thing that the blogger stereotype can be it has to be the idea of constantly shopping and having something different to shoot at all times. For me that is not the case, I do sell and get rid of pieces quite frequently. But I am not a shopper that just buys, shoots and returns not my cup of tea. However, one thing is for sure its re-inventing pieces for any season can be so much fun. And here is my reason why I say this.

For one you might see the piece so much different then have before. For me, this denim dress last summer was worn with a long strand of beads and a green shoe. This summer so much different feel for the piece. I love seeing how personal style evolves over a year and how a taste and a trend can take you from what you were before. As I stated last week spring and summer is my time to shine when it comes to fashion. For some reason, I feel so free with my style. In the winter I feel so stuck and not able to do anything with my style which sucks!

How are you incorperating old spring and summer pieces into your wardrobe!

The case of the blush loafers

May 21, 2018

Friday comes as fast as Monday and if you are like me you hate Mondays more than anything in this world. Except when you are showing off the best new shoes since sliced bread. For some time now I have been searching high and low for the perfect blush loafer for some time now. One pair that I loved for some time was the Gucci loafers but this girl is a hardcore budgeter and could not see herself dropping that much money at the moment. I mean this girl has to get brand new tires put on soon! But besides that, I knew I needed a blush pair of loafers. I searched high and low and found another dupe that happened to be Sam Edelman however still was not sold on them.

Until I walked over to Macy's shoe department one Saturday only to see these gorgeous blush darlings waiting for me to scoop up! The best part they are the fraction of the price of the Gucci's and the Sam Edelman! I was so stinking excited to snatch these up and take them home! Let me say they look good with not only white denim like I have going on here but also with dresses and jeans! One of the most versatile pieces I have owned to date! Which is a total win-win if you ask me! I linked some of my very favorites below for you to shop including these ones I have on right here!

Also in other news who all watched the royal wedding on Saturday? I was up at 5 am to watch the coverage and you bet that I didn't miss that wedding for one second! I loved Megan's dress so much, I think that she looked perfect in every single way possible! So fun to see an American girl get married and now be a royal! I was literally glued to my tv and phone all morning! It was too good to pass up!

Finding personal style in your 20's

May 17, 2018

One thing that I have officially learned since turning 20 is that finding personal, style is a huge necessity in life. When you officially hit your 20's you see yourself starting to phase out of old trends and welcome in more valuable and better quality clothing. Personally, for myself, I see myself have a huge change of style when it comes to summer. Looking back in the winter I have zero personal style and it all shows in the summer, spring and fall. It's kinda funny how we can slack so bad in the winter and score in different seasons. But it is true, personal style in your 20's is found from experimentation and with trends good and bad.

As we know back in March I cleaned house and let go of some serious stuff. And then did it once more. Basically to welcome in all new stuff in my 20's and believe me when I say I got rid of stuff that was literally from High School no shame over here. But letting go and welcoming in some serious new stuff made way for a new thought pattern about my personal style and where I am going. For one I am in college, jeans and white tee and a slide make up my daily look 99% of the time. Furthermore business professional is something that I am having to start stocking up on and let me just say how boring that can become. (I will explain at a later time in a separate blog post )

I love finding personal, style and I love being able to grow with personal style more and more. I feel like since entering my 20's I have been able to grow and develop way more with personal style. One of my very favorite pieces as of right now is this dress from Free people that I purchased a little bit ago! It is by far one of my ultimate favorites as of right now!

That Yellow Dress

May 14, 2018

If there is one thing that I love in life its the feeling of spring and summer. When I came across this yellow checkered mini I died a little bit. The perfect addition to ones summer wardrobe if you ask me! I was a little scared to get this dress because I am by no means a girl that loves a shorter dress. But this guy won me over instantly I must say and the sizing is perfect so that was an additional win-win for me.
Another huge spring snag for me is this adorable spring bag from Target! Is there anything better than Target recently stepping up its game big time when it comes to the clothes for the new season! I am loving so many pieces this season from them! For weeks on end I had my eyes on this bag and I knew I needed to snag it for spring. However I was not spending that kind of money on it until it went on sale. Last week I went to Target and saw they were having a 20% off sale! SCORE!

April beauty favorites

May 10, 2018

Its that time of the month where we welcome yet another monthly beauty favorites. I love the idea of makeup favorites and that is one thing I want to keep going as much as possible here on the blog and over on social media. One thing that I love this month is summer beauty favorites, over on polls this was the most requested thing! And here you go I am delivering some of my favorite current beauty favorites that I am taking into Summer.

Just like last month I had a huge love for the beauty blender cleanser it is my BFF and probably is the one item that I would splurge on time after time only because its just one of those items that does it for me when it comes to getting my brushes and sponge clean. Remember those are the items that you are putting on your face EVERYDAY!

Another item I am loving right now is the Origins cleanser this little stick is perfect. Not only is it a cleansing stick but it works so well with exfoliating and cleaning that hard to get off makeup and that gross stuff off you!

Clinique foundation is making up one of my favorites for this month also! For one it is a two in one, foundation and concealer which if you ask me is amazing! That skips two steps out of the day which is awesome to me! I love being able to get stuff done faster and more effectively.

Lastly, let's talk about Farmhouse Fresh, one product I have heard so much about and never ever decided to try. I love this sweet tea shea butter cream more than basically anything on this planet. The scent is just seriously lovely and goes on perfectly. Hand cream is not my thing ever and this stuff has won me over time after time! I also am super interested in purchasing the body oil because I have heard so many good things about that product! And it helps if you have dry skin like myself!

Where have I Been

May 7, 2018

You might be asking where have I been? After a week in a half of no blog posts, I am finally back in action this Monday and I am pretty excited to be back doing light blogging. It is most definitely that time of year finals, finishing up internship and a new job! Yes, I accepted a new job roughly a week ago and now I am working a new position!  I also found some time to have a benefit this past weekend for the Alzheimers association which is a cause that is so close and dear to my heart. It meant the world that people could come out and help us raise some money and awareness for a cause! So in a paragraph that is where I have been for roughly a week in a half. However, I am so excited to be getting back to basics around here on the blog and getting back into the swing of things!

We have had exceptional spring temperatures the other day and finally we are getting that summer feel of blooming and florals. I am finally pulling out some good spring pieces and this skirt is perfect for summer and spring! First off it is so comfortable and it is so flattering which is something I adore.
