The March Challange

February 28, 2018

Well as I sit here I realized that it is one day until the start of the new month. And I am very relieved, February was a stressful month that came with so many curveballs and so many uphill battles. I am excited to be welcoming spring break this Friday and be off for a few days to get things in order. Planning blog content is one big thing I am aiming to do over break.

Besides blog planning, I am also trying to put a new effect into place this March. I am the first to admit that I shop way too much and spend too much money on clothes. But then again who doesn't do that? I know no girl that never turns down a cute pair of shoes and a cute bauble earring. Last year I went a little crazy with shopping for spring. I purchased way too much stuff and a lot of that stuff was worn once and then thrown back into my closet to never be worn again. That is something I am not proud to admit to you all!

So this month I decided to put in effect a no shopping March. Okay, you are probably thinking no way Vic can you do this!!! Yes, I know I sound legit insane but it is something I really want to be able to put in an effect. Because as a blogger we spend way too much time purchasing that we never go back to our closet and create a new look from what we have. So this month I am putting in effect a no shopping month,  and instead taking time to fall in love with her closet! Its almost like for lent I'm giving up shopping. I won't lie I am actually am excited to try this and to put this in full effect. Make sure to follow a fun little hashtag on Instagram and on here #CAABnoshopmarch to see the full progress of no shopping.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!

Multifunctional pieces for any season

February 26, 2018

If I could say "I'm sorry" I couldn't say it enough! Last week was one of those weeks, it was never ending and an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. However I am excited that this week will be a potential slow down for myself! Not only does spring break start this Friday but also I have finished one of my graduate classes this past Saturday making a huge slow down in my school schedule. We are halfway through the semester and I am beyond excited for!

Now from school lets discuss spring.
Last week I shared some of my very favorite pieces to stock up on for summer, spring and winter. The Nordstrom sale ended this past Sunday and it got me eager. I know we are not by any means out of the potential winter here in Western PA. But it got me thinking and even starting to pull out some "summer" and "Spring" pieces. Hense what I did here with today's post! By now we all know I LOVE TO MIX. It is no secret and if you think it is one, I'm here to tell you it is not!

What did you do here?
I did a fun little mix of textures and looks to create a super fun mid-winter mix. Recently I have been loving pink and its no secret you go on my Instagram that's all you see is pink and more pink tones! I loved the idea of taking this skirt I purchased back in November and mixing it with a dress that I usually wear in Spring and or Summer. I liked the mix and the outcome it had, I always say this but sometimes the mixing textures prints and trying outfits can be an ultimate fail. So I appreciate when looks turn out perfect and completely what one imagined!

End of the season sales

February 21, 2018

One thing I love is a good sale.

As I am writing this post I am staring hardcore at my clothing rack and looking at all the pieces I scored these past few months for winter. Now as we are starting to experience warmer temperatures we are experiencing the change from Winter to Spring. I love the change of weather personally, this is my most favorite time of the year! I love being able to score amazing pieces from this past season on major score prices. But I also love having the opportunity to score pieces for the next season. (more about spring pieces in the next few weeks).

Today I wanted to break down some of my very favorite pieces to score now and save for next winter or even to wear right now! As we know the Nordstrom Winter Sale kicked off this past week and it goes through February 25th! Which is an amazing way to stock up on pieces for right now, later and in the next year. Which if you ask me stocking up on basics is the best way to save money and to build ones wardrobe!

Molly Moe Adoption Story

February 14, 2018

One of the most requested things, when it came to blog content in the past month has been Molly's adoption story. I recently put a big poll up on Instagram asking if that was something everyone would want to read about. And ironically 97% of you all said yes! Which if you ask me was a little bit shocking! So as Valentine's day is here and we seem to sometimes discuss the ones we love the most (being human) I decided to talk about how Molly came into Connor and myself life roughly six months ago.

For one Connor discussed a dog.
Some months prior to adopting and getting Molly he voiced his opinion about wanting to have a dog. He knew he did not want to adopt a baby puppy due to schedule with school, housetraining, potty training and just all that puppy stuff.  We knew when we found the dog it was going to be unexpected.

However, we knew we wanted to adopt not shop.
As a millennial, I think this is a huge thing so many people my generation are starting to adopt. And I really appreciate and love the idea that people my age are taking this idea into mind. My dog that I have had since childhood is a puppy from a "dog boutique" and let me say he has been an amazing dog but a dog that has unfortunately so many health problems.

And then came Molly
When we received Molly she was given to us, from a couple that no longer could care for her. She was seven years old and was this hyper oblivious dog. The previous owners I think thought of her to be just another dog. When Connor and myself went to pick her up we started to have that remorse of getting her. Taking her away from her home for seven years and taking her from the people she loved dearly. Connor and myself, knew NOTHING when it came to taking care of a dog. Connor didn't even tell his Mother and or Father we were adopting a dog. It truthfully was something we did in whim.

The Perfect Blush Vest

February 12, 2018

Valentines Day is this week this Wednesday to be exact. So public service announcement make sure to get a gift asap and or a card.

We are officially in the Valentines day feels over here. Again I am not a valentines day fan I am just a huge fan of the color combinations, candy and cute decor. And that means one thing I am loving and have been almost waiting to pull out for this time of year has to be this blush perfection vest from Papaya clothing. This babe I received before the holidays and I am the biggest fan of the beauty of this color! The blush something that I have been loving for some time now! Additionally, I love the idea of the longer back, covering my butt is something that always is a win-win situation for me and might I add this piece is extra affordable! Finally one of my very favorite things is that you can wear this piece into spring which is something we all know that I am the biggest fan of!

Additionally, I am rounding some of my very favorite pink favorites! AND a very special post is going up on Wednesday in honor of Valentines day!

Vintage Vibes

February 5, 2018

One thing I always am appreciative over it a good vintage piece. Yes, I love the idea of something old that has been well preserved and is a great expansion to my closet. I am a regular when it comes to adding in old pieces into my wardrobe. The truth is I LOVE the idea of mixing pieces. So when I was planning out to my content I decided to go into my moms closet just like I always do and came across this bomb little red number. The tailored vibes and red perfection made it the piece I know I needed to shoot.

Now if you know anything about this dress you know I categorized it as my "funeral dress" not much has changed about that. I love this dress because it is flattering and its also the perfect dress to have for winter. What I mean is you can wear it with tights. skip tights, dress it up or dress it down. Making the optins very unlimited! I linked some of my very favorite black layarable dresses below!

Mixin the colors of love

February 1, 2018

It is officially February first we know what that means. A crap ton of cheesy valentines day stuff on your feed and all around you. I'll be the first to tell you that I hate Valentine's day but I love the aesthetic side of it. I won't lie here, I have to be super honest! But I love having a reason to be super bold and be able to wear some fun Valentines day inspired looks. First mostly to kick off today being  a, new month and because it only seems right! I have been loving white jeans and I feel like in my gut it is still socially acceptable to be wearing them in the winter. However only if they are styled correctly.

With that being said.....
I went back and forth about even attempting this white denim idea. At first, I thought it was tricky, I could see my mom from across the room hardcore judging her daughter on her fashion choices. But I felt that fashion was about trying and being different that I said"hey why not." Additionally, I have been obsessing over touches of pink, we can see my feed starting to change more into a pink and red phase which is something I currently am loving! Do we all remember this gorgeous Tory Burch bag from last year around this time I purchased? It still has remained one of my very favorite bags to date. I have thought in the past few months about selling it but decided it was so not worth it in the end. Adding simple touches of red and pinks right now are easy ways to throw in easy feminine details with not that much effort!

Happy February 1st everyone!

Also I rounded up some of my very favorite beauty products on instagram and on here! Make sure to check them out below
