The wide leg jean (DIY)

March 13, 2017

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had a refreshing and relaxing weekend! I know for me my weekend was packed full of bridal showers and getting ready for the start to the new week!

Recently, I have been having a fashion struggle. For one I have not a clue what to wear. It has been so cold and then it has been so warm. It has been leaving me with so much confusion on what to wear. And not to mention how to dress for this weather. It also isn't helping that we have a huge storm coming tomorrow! I keep seeing everyone on Instagram wearing their off the shoulder tops and their espadrilles and I am just over here patiently waiting for it to be warm.

In the meantime, I have been kinda obsessing over the whole wide leg capris for spring. Yesterday I was on Pinterest and I came across a person styling them. Instantly I knew I needed to try this trend. So I took the old favorite boyfriend jeans out of my closet and then I decided to cut them off and make them into one of spring's biggest trends. Honestly, this is the easiest and most affordable trend ever! I maybe spent 20 minutes cutting them and destroying the bottom with a razor. It was so easy and so effortlessly chic! This season if you want to save some money I highly recommend taking your old denim boot cuts and trimming them into this season's hottest flare trend!

The Denim Dress

March 9, 2017

Happy Thursday everyone!

Can you guys believe that tomorrow is finally Friday? I seriously can not believe that this week has gone so fast. However, I am so happy because this past week has been mayhem! I have has midterms all week and I am just ready for the weekend and spring break to be here finally! This weekend I am hosting a bridal brunch for my cousin and I am so pumped. We have been planning it for months so I am so excited to see how the whole thing is going to come together!

Now on to today's post!
A few weeks back I saw this amazing denim dress at Tj Maxx and I went slightly crazy. First I automatically thought of how great this dress would look with the famous Espadrille wedges that have been trending recently. But then I begun to think more and more of the fantastic multi-seasonal wear this dress has. For one, you can basically wear this dress with anything for any season! Which I think made me LOVE this dress even more! The pockets on the front make for a super fun touch, and let me tell you this dress is so comfortable! Can we just say this is the perfect dress for the transitioning season!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

How to transition to spring with OTK boots

March 6, 2017

Happy Monday everyone!

I can not believe that the weekend is over and another week is here! It feels like the weeks literally go so fast anymore and I feel like I totally can not keep up!

Anywho! As we all know spring is right around the corner and we all know I have been on the spring bandwagon for some time now! However, with all this spring fever we still are experiencing cold temps here at home. As much as I want to put away the OTK boots, I just can't do it! Today I wanted to take you through the way that I am incorporating OTK boots into my transitional spring wardrobe!

First off I am loving OTK boots with white denim this spring! Seriously it is so effortlessly chic and so easy to pull off with a simple long sleeve top! I added a denim jacket for a fun pop, and almost a lighter springtime look. I also added in this floral bag to really make the look stand out as a spring time look. We are still having those sunny but super chilly days. SO this look is so perfect for those days because you aren't giving up being warm but also you are dressing like you are ready for spring to come!

Wishing you all a wonderful Monday!

How to dress up a skirt for the coldest of months.

January 30, 2017

Two things in the winter I hate, one the cold and two not being able to wear skirts and dresses. As you might already know I never have lived anywhere warm during the winter. So naturally, it can be challenging wearing skirts and dresses in the winter! I have been banging my head for the past few weeks over how I can incorporate dresses and skirts while keeping it chic and fashion forward. So today I am sharing some of my tips and tricks when it comes to dressing for the colder months.

1. Tights are okay! Let me repeat they are OKAY! When we think of tights we think of old grandma and old school. (Or at least for me that's what I think of) I always hated tights growing up I would purposely rip and tear them just so I didn't have to wear them. But today I LOVE them so much! They keep you so warm and they now come in so many fashionable patterns and colors! They are totally fashionably acceptable and not at all grandma.

2. Wear thicker fabrics! What I mean by that is wear a skirt or a dress that is made from a thicker material! This way you can stay warm and look chic! This skirt is a wool blend and I felt so warm in this skirt with my tights! And this day it was probably 27 degrees out! So I always say yes to thicker fabrics. When dealing with dresses see if they are layer able dresses! That is always an awesome fix for the colder months.

3. Finally, say yes to adding some fun spring time accessories! Spring is literally just around the corner! Find some bright pops of color to incorporate into your wardrobe! For me, it is this adorable Torri bag that I have been gushing about recently! This bag adds such a fun pop of color to the look and automatically brings it into a transitional seasonal look! If you are someone that is scared of color don't be!!! Take baby steps and eventually, it will lead up to more!

Wishing you all a wonderful start to your week!
