The first snowfall

December 18, 2017

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I can not believe that Christmas us this week. Where has the time go? I am so pumped because I have some exciting holiday content and Giveaways planned for you this week! Literally, I am beyond pumped to share some last minute holiday shopping, gifts to fill your stocking and gifts to treat yo self!

We have been drenched with snow in the Pittsburgh area. I have taken advantage of this and wanted to get out to take photos of Molly. If you guys aren't aware Connor and myself, adopted a sweet little seven-year-old named Molly is a beagle and Jack Russell mix! She is nothing but amazing and Connor and myself, have been striving to spend time with her and help her to experience new and exciting things. We were so pumped to take her out for her first snow experience, she was so cold and so uncomfortable which broke my heart. However, we were able to get some sweet captures of her. Nothing quite beats the first snowfall of the season.

Additionally, my super festive scarf is currently on major sale and is so perfect for the holiday season! I linked it below so you guys can grab one this holiday season it is also available in multiple colors.

So you want to throw a Friendsgivng

November 29, 2017

One of the most highly anticipated blog post requests had to be about Friendsgiving. Truthfully I had NO clue that you all would seek any interests in how I plan my annual party. However, I was so honored that you were interested! I am going to try to cover everything you guys need to know about how to plan a successful one that accommodates everything one should have at a Friendsgiving.

First off Invites :  This year I decided to go with a different approach to sending out invitations. Personally, I find sending out a massive test or individual text is messy and time-consuming and personally becomes too much work for the host. So this year I decided to go with a VERY different approach. HELLO, Punchbowl this amazing website does it all when it comes to invitations! Sends them out, sends out reminders even lets them know what dish they should bring! Not to mention they have so many options for the holidays, birthdays and so much more. The best part??? It is FREEEE!

    YEP!

Table setting: This year I wanted to go for more of a simple vintage vibe table! I set myself at a wholesale flower market with my mom the day before for a mixture of greens. Seeded Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar were the two options when it came to the tablescape. In the end I decided to go with for the solid reason of coverage and quality. Additionally, I added in some pinecones for dramatic effect. This tablescape was so freaking easy! Legit easy peasy!!!

Let's talk cutlery, plates and all that jazz..
Obvi with 30 people there was no way on this planet I was going to use the good quality stuff. And with their being such a vast amount of awesome and gorgeous PLASTIC cutlery why wouldn't I run with it? This year I purchased all my plates napkins and forks and spoons, from Target! This stuff made such an impression with the table. I loved so much the finishes of the brass plastic silverware! I never recommend going with the good stuff. Just go plastic, believe me you will thank me later! I loved my place setting this year it was easy to do and easy to clean up! I always recommend to people to not settle for boring table settings! You can do so much to get the place setting to look the way you like with inexpensive materials so that's a little food for thought!

Finally the food tables, drink tables etc.
I wanted to have drinks since this year we are all legal I recommended that we all BYOB because let's be honest people think that one person is going to buy all the beer when in actuality that is not how it should be. This year I recommended everyone bring a bottle of wine and or beer! I totally recommend doing this it makes everything 100% easier!!!

If you have any other questions about how I magically pulled this all together! Make sure to leave them in the comment section below!

What are you thankful for??

November 20, 2017

This week kicks off the entire start to the holiday season and thus it starts the conversation about what we are thankful for. Even though reflecting on the past eleven months there is so much to be thankful for and to cherish for that matter. Who would have thought in 2017 I would have grew to 7,790 followers from a low 2,000 in January of 2017. And or would have discovered Connor, but for real thank god, I found Connor. Or have magically walked into seriously a bomb internship. The answer is
no, I had not one clue that all this would have happened. However, I am so THANKFUL it did.

Life can be super chaotic and crazy, I mean look at the past two months,  however I am so excited to enjoy reflect and take in the holiday with my loved ones! This week I am throwing Friendsgiving with roughly 30 friends! This by far is the biggest one I have ever had and I am so freaking excited! I decided that I want to capture more of the process that goes into something like this. Since a lot of you might be celebrating the holiday into the weekend. I thought what is better than sharing some Friendsgiving inspiration and or thanksgiving inspiration!

This Thanksgiving week I am taking time to sit down and reflect and think about all the people I care about and love. I know that at times we can get caught up in things that we shouldn't necessarily care about but we do. However this week we should let it go and reflect on everything and spend time with the ones we love!

A little food for thought....

Holiday Traditions with Boohoo

December 23, 2016

Christmas is one of my most favorite holidays of the entire year! It is a time to reflect on the year and to look foward to the new one just about to begin! For me it is also a time for family, I am a huge family oreneted person! I am the only child so naturally I have always been very close with my parents. Since tomorrow is Christmas eve I wanted to take a moment to talk about my traditions!

As an only child like stated above my parents gave in when I basically begged them for a dog! Patches came into my life when I was in the first grade! Through the number of health problems he has had. He has still maintained to be one thing, happy. No matter what happens he always is so thankful and loving!

The holidays for he and I are so special! We wake up super early on Christmas morning to open gifts. He loves to help everyone open there gifts! Patches even gets his own gifts, usually tuna and canned carrots! He loves wrapping paper and loves the excitement in the house. And to be honest I think we all enjoy watching him more than worrying about our gifts. The joy that opening his presents brings is so stinking cute. If anyone ever thinks an animal doesnt know holidays, you are so wrong! We always say patches is like a little person! He loves Christmas so much its so cute! Shortly after Christmas comes his birthday! This year he is going to be 13 years old! We usually celebrate his birthday with a cake and extra snuggles!

This holiday we are loving these matching sweaters! Boohoo has so many amazing holidays sweaters for you and your dog!

Wishing you a very Merry Chrsitmas, from my family to yours!
