Black on Black

Possible one of the best combinations on this planet has to be the combination of black on black. Nothing is so slimming and so easy to wear than black denim?? I have always loved black on black with a pop of color of some sort as the shoe or the bag. So for me, the change in the season means a change in style. 

One thing I have been loving recently is this tee from She In. Not only is this top super cute and stylish but it also is made from tee shirt material making it super darn comfortable. Not to mention the little pops of gingham makes for it to be trendy but yet still super comfortable. As I always state my closets consists of trendy pieces but also essential pieces I know that I can have for years. That is how I feel about these two pieces. The rockstar super skinny pants from Old Navy is something close to my heart. Not only do they compliment any body type, but they are also so so super comfortable. And let us not forget they are super affordable and fit like an extremely expensive pair of pants. 

Besides last Friday being the first day of fall, and I totally missed it. This week I have updated my tabs here on Coffee And A Blonde. An all-new "Fall Shop" tab with a huge amount of fall goodies has made its full appearance here. I have rounded up sweaters, dresses, and boots all perfect for fall!!! The modern babydoll drop dress

Happy Wednesday everyone! 

If there is one thing that I love it has to be a modern twist on an old thing. This adorable dress from, styleNmotion is just like that. The modern drop waist is something that I am sorta obsessed with right now. The criss-cross of the waist was something that I was beyond obsessed with. And let's not forget the top part. The top part of this dress was another thing I fell in love with! 

 I also am loving navy, and I love the concept that it is one of the most transitional colors to fall. YES, I am discussing fall again! But it is coming and if you are anything like me you love pieces that are easily able to be transitioned into next season. Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope that you all had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend! I know for me I was so confused on what days of the week it was! Luckily it's back to normal over here for me, so thank goodness! This week kicks off the first week really back to the grind. So much is happening this week, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale starts this week, for those cardholders. As I covered on last week's Friday Favorites! Make sure to stay tuned for that post later this week on my favorite picks!

Now onto today's post! Summer is in full swing and I am a girl who at all costs avoids shorts. I absolutely hate shorts! They are uncomfortable, not flattering and never ever fit. So for me I have always seemed to turn to dresses and jeans in the summer months. I came across this darling skirt the other day when I was out and about and I instantly fell in LOVE. Not only is it completely flattering but it is a piece that can be worn in so many different ways! I styled this skirt with heels and with flat slides. And let me just say even earlier in the day I styled it for work with Tennis shoes. (I love a good tennis shoe) The versatility of a good skirt is endless and let me just say this one is perfect! Even funnier I absolutely feel like the emoji girl, only I'm not wearing red.

June where did you go?? It is the last official week of June and I am asking myself where the month has gone? I have been spending the majority of June running around working and In college. And I am just asking myself where has the time gone?

But let's not ponder on the month, let's focus on the future. 

This month is Ellie active wear's June box and let me tell you it's EVERYTHING! First off raise your hand if you don't like a good sports bra and adorable leggings? No one? How to find the perfect romper for spring and summer

When I saw this adorable romper I knew that it needed to be a part of my spring and summer wardrobe. I have always never been a real lover of a romper some people just look made for a romper when others just look uncomfortable. That's me the girl that looks so uncomfortable and looks like she belongs in a good pair of jeans and a tee shirt. I have never loved a romper hence why I don't buy them or put them on the blog a lot. But this one changed everything. Literally changed my summer capsule closet big time. Like I said earlier not only is it so versatile but it can be layered dressed up and dressed down. This day it was cooler and it was perfect because I just threw on a denim jacket and went on my way! The scallop detail on the sleeves kinda sold me. I thought it was so different and the tie up in the back was beyond perfect! 

I'm giving some tips and tricks when it comes to rompers! And how you can pick the perfect one! 

1. There is a and always will be a romper for every body type! 

Yes, you might be saying no V you are a crazy girl and yes that might be true but however, there is seriously one for every body type! And you should not give up by any means when it comes to searching for that perfect romper. 

2. Find the right length! 

Let's be so honest, how many times are we out and we see a girl with a skin tight romper on and we think are we doing something wrong? Literally, every time I see a girl around my age I think hmmm am I doing something wrong? Truth is buying that romper that fits can be worn in so many social settings. And when you purchase that correct length you have more options! 

3. Finally, don't buy a crazy print or a print you never can re-wear. 

It might be my thriftiness coming out but do not go out of your way and buy one that you never can re-wear expect for that one event. Yes, it can be fun to have this bold print. But can you wear it all year round or wear it to your next formal event. If you purchase one that you can wear over and over you are getting the most for your money and the most for every season!
