Intern Fashion

October 18, 2017

Truth: I am proud to be a woman, and a woman who is in college with 3 majors, maintaining a job, internship, college activities and most importantly a blog.

It is crazy to think this has become my life, when I was 16 starting a blog and thinking about college I never thought in my mind I would ever be working with dream companies, bringing content to people. Not to mention being recognized in the community for my blog. It is satisfying, exciting and scary as hell.

Now I am taking on the biggest challenge.... Intern.
That sounds like I am insane but seriously, this is a huge pressure that I am now getting used to. When I got this internship the first thing I thought of is how and what am I going to wear... Legit what I thought. As a woman in business, I was told I have to wear things that won't make me appear as "sexy". I totally was beyond freaked out and at a point where I was like is this for real. Then a lightbulb went off, lets channel my frustration of a fashion fail through here. One thing that I am coming to learn is to be more open about a career and life.

For three and a half years on here, I have only talked about clothes and more clothes. Let's talk about a career for the young business gal who is getting ready to take on the world. I am so excited to be more open about the next chapter of my life and to be sharing more professional outfits and career advice!

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday! And a huge apology for no post on Monday I celebrated my 21st birthday on Sunday!

White trends for fall

October 9, 2017

Fall is still lacking here in Western Pa, and I am just lagging in fall content posts. Mostly because it has been so warm here and not fall like in any way. So when it isn't like fall why make fall content posts. I love fall and it is by far my favorite season on the planet. However, the lack of fall is killing me, supposedly next week is the peak season for the leaves and I am hoping it finally cools down and we finally get those fall vibes. Meanwhile I am trying to pull together a fall like wardrobe while still keeping in mind the cool factors that go into it. It is way too humid here during the day to wear a sweater so I find myself leaning towards other sleeveless lighter layering knits. Hense where this adorable knit comes from. Y'all I will not lie I have this bad boy in two colors and it never ever seems to disappoint. Literally, I find myself every season wearing it over and over and over again, until I have to take out a razor a take all the balls off it.

You get the point...... I love it dearly.

Also what I am loving, bringing old dresses into new seasons. This babydoll dress is one of my all-time favorite purchases from spring this past year. I wore this dress in my Valentine's day post and let me just say it has a special place in my closet. I love adding in different spins on fall trends, and that is why I love this look so much. Not to mention these booties from Dolce Vita, every year I buy a brand new pair for fall. And this year I snagged these babies for an unbelievable price. I am linking them right below in today's post!

I also am making a huge goal to get back on this weeks, posting schedule. I have been sorta away, midterms and busy hectic schedules have been keeping me away from getting all my posts done. However, I want to better improve that!

Wishing you a wonderful Monday!

Black on Black

September 25, 2017

Possible one of the best combinations on this planet has to be the combination of black on black. Nothing is so slimming and so easy to wear than black denim?? I have always loved black on black with a pop of color of some sort as the shoe or the bag. So for me, the change in the season means a change in style.

One thing I have been loving recently is this tee from She In. Not only is this top super cute and stylish but it also is made from tee shirt material making it super darn comfortable. Not to mention the little pops of gingham makes for it to be trendy but yet still super comfortable. As I always state my closets consists of trendy pieces but also essential pieces I know that I can have for years. That is how I feel about these two pieces. The rockstar super skinny pants from Old Navy is something close to my heart. Not only do they compliment any body type, but they are also so so super comfortable. And let us not forget they are super affordable and fit like an extremely expensive pair of pants.

Besides last Friday being the first day of fall, and I totally missed it. This week I have updated my tabs here on Coffee And A Blonde. An all-new "Fall Shop" tab with a huge amount of fall goodies has made its full appearance here. I have rounded up sweaters, dresses, and boots all perfect for fall!!! I also have updated my side tab with my current hair favorites. If you guys don't follow me on Instagram I have cut all my hair off. Literally, my hair is short and is gone, I am writing a whole blog post this week about the whole transformation and why I did it. Including a huge roundup of all my favorite short hair products, that have saved the short hair game for me!

The last of the off the shoulder tops

August 23, 2017

Ahh, summer you are coming to an end and that means we have to say goodbye to the good old off the shoulder look. I have had an extreme amount of OTS pieces invade my closet in these past few months. I love them so much for so many reasons, one they are so comfy and two they look good on everyone with any body type. I have seen so many women with so many different body shapes rock this trend and they all look amazing!

So when I decided to expand my closet with yet another off the shoulder piece I knew that this one was different. The first reason why I adore this OTS top is it a three season dress. What does that mean? Well, it means it can be worn in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Three seasons and three different ways to style it. The black stripes make it a piece that is easy to transition with a sleeveless vest and booties. The options are literally unlimited when it comes to this little essential. Not to mention the warm weather still here this dress makes for an easy breezy look that is perfect for the on the go kinda girl.

As I said on Monday I am back in class and I am adjusting to the back to school and blogging schedule. However, I am so happy to be back into the regular schedule!

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!

A bracelet for a cause

July 5, 2017

Gray Hemlock Irma Bracelet

It has been the honest time ever since I have talked to you guys I feel like! Enough said I miss you guys so much! Coming back from a lonnnnng weekend can be hugely refreshing and inspirational! I have so many good and wonderful ideas to bring to you guys especially this month! A new month is finally here and I could not be happier that the summer is almost over. Yes, you heard me correct I am a girl that isn't a huge fan of summer. I'm much more a fall kinda girl, so now that we are in that mid-point of summer I am so excited to start planning more and more content for the chillier months ahead!

But that's in the future and we should discuss the present!

Today here on the blog I am kicking off Wednesday with a bracelet for a cause! So many people are starting such amazing and inspirational companies and y'all let me just say when I was told the story about Gray Hemlock and what they stood for I fell in love with the concept and the products. Then I got onto their site to be welcomed by the stories and ideas of people creating ethical women's accessories. All under $30 may I add in! I was hooked and beyond obsessed with the concept of this truly awesome company.

I am wearing the Irma Bracelet and guys how cute is it! For all my Western Pa people it is black and gold and perfect for #pittsburghnation. SO that's an absolute win, win situation. But Y'all the best part about this bracelet is its beginnings. The Irma Bracelet is made in Costa Rica by hand. The seeds that are found on this bracelet are locally harvested and consist of two seeds. So totally a conversation maker when people ask about it!

Make sure to check out Gray Hemlock's awesome selections of pieces and to check them out on Instagram!

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!

The dress you need for summer!

June 5, 2017

How was everyone's weekend? We officially had warm and wonderful weather this past weekend! We had no rain and it was so darn warm! However, I spent the majority of the weekend working which is no fun! But I was able to get out and snag some cute summer pieces on Sunday which I am so pumped about! This was my first weekend that I took a break from social media and let me tell you it was refreshing not worrying about content and "likes". I have been stressing about likes and gains on Instagram and a detox was a well-needed thing!

Now on to today's post!

When I saw this adorable dress from Anges and Dora I instantly fell in love with the print and the shape of this dress! First off it is super comfy and when I say super comfy I mean it! This dress is equivalent to pajamas! Second, it has pockets and we all know how I feel personally when it comes to pockets! I love a good pocket in a dress it is no secret! And I have also been loving cool and soft fabrics for summer and this dress is doing it for me!

Finally I want to thank you guys for all the wonderful feedback from last weeks post! I am so excited to include these ideas into my posts! I always love the support and love I recieve from you guys!
